I created this blog on December 5th 2010, in the hope that it would reunite our unconnected community and bring about an influx of videos from New Zealand-based video makers, and I think I’ve been successful in this endeavor. There’s an active and growing community that I’m proud to showcase on this blog. I started my YouTube journey back in 2008 after watching a video from New Zealand YouTube partner Levi Beamish and since I posted my first video in 2008 I’ve changed channels, video styles and aims. But I’ve always stayed a proud New Zealand YouTuber, eager to upload videos.

I joined the NZYTcommunity blog on September 13th 2011. You can read about me on my YouTube channel.
Hey Ryan!^_^ Its me!hehe I had the most geekiest time today. I was kinda down after today and I thought I would just go online while listening to the Black Hawk Down soundtrack. And I thought “oh yeah, who exactly is the curator for NZYT Community Central?” Then I came here and read your page. All while listening to the soundtrack. It was like reading an inspiring autobiography. From the initial high of your first 100 subscribers in 2008 then through all the ups and downs of 2009 and unfulfilled aspirations for a personal target of 1000 subscribers in 2010. Enter 2011 and you set out to revive the New Zealand youtube community. And you succeeded too! Now the look ahead seems scary what with university commitments, personal life, other duties and so on. Who knows what the future holds? Well… I do buddy! NZYT is gonna KICK ASS!lol So thank you (and everyone else who has helped too) for starting the revival. YOU DID AN AWESOME
***see what happens when you read inspiring blogs while listening to epic movie soundtracks?
I got cut off at the end of “YOU DID AN AWESOME…” for some reason.;D I meant to end it with “JOB!!!” and yes with 3 exclamation points. Cause thats how much I thought it deserves. At the very least. Anyways, nice work bro!
Haha, well I’m very glad you enjoyed my ‘inspiring’ story! Thanks for the compliments too – It’s definitely been a group effort! Also, nice taste in music.
