Hi guys, Ryan Lamont (TheRyanLamont) here with a wee post about the achievements of myself and fellow New Zealand Vlogger Amber (theloyalbadger). As some of you may have heard, Amber and myself were offered YouTube Partnership by Google a few days ago, and we’ve been celebrating ever since.
It’s great to see that Google is offering dedicated New Zealand video creators the benefits of full partnership, allowing them to gain money to allow for the future improvement of their content. But of course Amber and I are not celebrating the fact that we can earn money, since we have been monetized for the last few months, it’s more the recognition from YouTube and the branding benefits that we’re really excited about.
So I’ve embedded this post with our latest videos, and hope that you’ll enjoy them. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out both Amber and I’s channel and support us by viewing, commenting, liking and subscribing to our videos. Thanks guys, the support is much appreciated!
Hey guys, Ryan (TheRyanLamont) here with a quick note on a wee change on the blog. I had previously used a tag cloud to show all the NZYT’ers I knew of on the right column. But I have now taken away that tag cloud and have replaced it with a neat list of all the NZYT’ers, with a click through link to their channel. I think this is a much more helpful and clearer way to find NZYT’ers, and this also allows me to utilise the tags to bring in more views to the blog, which will give NZYT more exposure!
Hopefully you guys agree with my minor adjustments and find them helpful. and since this is just a tiny post with little content, I’m going to stick Andrew’s (Strugsnotdrugs) video of yesterday’s random weather that is being called ‘snowmageddon’.
Hey guys, Ryan (TheRyanLamont) here with a wee shout out to one of our most prolific vloggers, yet least watched. I’m of course speaking of Kahurangi (cookiejar243), our dedicated VEDA participant, whose been busting out awesome videos all month! I wasn’t happy with Kahurangi’s small view count, so I decided to make a wee video shout out to her, in an attempt to gain a few more viewers for her.
I also asked for people to comment some of there favourite NZYT’ers/YouTubers in general, so I could go watch them and broaden my YouTube subscriptions. I think promoting each other through wee shout out videos like this could be a cool way of strengthening our small yet growing community, and would be a brilliant way to connect more and more NZYT’ers. So why don’t you make a wee shout out video next? Or highlight a favourite NZYT’er in an upcoming vlog? Help the community prosper!
Hey guys, Ryan (TheRyanLamont) here and today, 14th August 2011, a kiwi has found their way onto the homepage. Of course we all know who this kiwi is, since he seems to be the only one who can gain a position on the homepage, and this kiwi is Levi (corporalcadet). It’s always uplifting to see someone from our community on the New Zealand YouTube homepage, since it is our homepage after all.
Perhaps one day more of us NZYT’ers will be able to gain a place on our country’s YouTube homepage. But at least for now we have Levi representing us on the American-dominated homepage. Below is the video that placed Levi on the homepage, his V48 Hour Film Competition entry:
Hey guys, Ryan (TheRyanLamont) here and yesterday I uploaded my first vlog to my second channel, RyanLamontVideos. I’ve had this channel since December 27 2010 and left it vacant all that time, until now! If you guys caught my vlog from last week you’ll know that I found a new vlogging style that I really enjoy and got a good response from, and it is this vlogging style that I shall be using on RyanLamontVideos.
I’m hoping to stay consistent (weekly) on this channel, and I think I might be able to do it (for at least a while) due to the simple nature of the vlogs. All I have to do is have an idea, turn on my iMac, open up iMovie and then I’m away! So I hope you guys enjoy this new style of vlogging from me, and I hope you’ll enjoy the increased amount of videos from me too, haha!
